How Dropast Handles Marketplace Product Cost Changes

Dropast maintains almost real-time synchronization with Taobao and Tmall, allowing your Shopify store to reflect up-to-date pricing changes from the marketplace. If a synced product’s cost or local shipping fee changes, you can control how Dropast responds using flexible pricing automation settings.

This guide explains the available options and how to configure them for your workflow.

⚙️ Where to Configure Price Update Behavior

To manage how Dropast handles pricing updates:

1. Go to Dropast Settings
2. Navigate to the “Product” tab

3. Find the setting:

🔄 Available Options

You can choose from the following behaviors:

1. Do Nothing

• No updates will be made in your Shopify store
• Your current selling price and compare at price will remain unchanged, even if the product’s cost or local shipping fee is updated in the marketplace

Recommended if you want manual control over pricing changes

2. Update Selling Price

Only available if the Selling Price setting is enabled

• Automatically recalculates the Shopify Selling Price using your predefined multiplier
• Triggered when either the marketplace product cost or domestic shipping fee changes

Only available if both Selling Price and Compare at Price settings are enabled

• Updates both the Shopify Selling Price and the Compare at Price using their respective multipliers
• Ensures your pricing stays aligned with your margin and promotional rules

• It does not affect products manually added or synced outside the Dropast flow
