How to Automatically Set Compare at Prices in Dropast
Dropast allows you to automatically calculate and apply a Compare at Price to your products when importing them from marketplaces. This feature helps you establish price anchors and show discounts in your Shopify store. Using a predefined or custom multiplier, Dropast will generate the Compare at Price based on the Shopify Selling Price.
This guide walks you through how to enable and configure this setting.
⚙️ Where to Set the Compare at Price Rule
- Go to Dropast Settings
- Click the “Product” tab
-
Find the setting:
[Compare At Price] [Shopify Selling Price]
🧮 How It Works
When this setting is enabled and configured:
- Dropast will automatically calculate the Compare at Price each time a product is imported
- The price is based on your Shopify Selling Price, multiplied by the factor you set
Example:
| Setting Component | Value |
|---|---|
| Shopify Selling Price | $30 |
| Compare at Price Multiplier | 1.5× |
| Compare at Price | $45 |
This results in a product that appears to be “on sale,” showing a regular price of $45 and a discounted price of $30 on your storefront.
🔧 Setting Your Multiplier
You can:
- Choose a predefined multiplier (e.g., 2×, 3×, 4×)
- Enter a custom multiplier based on your pricing or promotional strategy
📌 Note: Shopify requires that the Compare at Price must be higher than the Selling Price — make sure your multiplier reflects that.
