Why Are My Products Showing as "Out of Stock" in Shopify?

If you’ve exported products from Dropast to your Shopify store and notice they appear as “Out of stock” or “Unavailable for sale,” this is likely due to a location or shipping setting misconfiguration in your Shopify account. Fortunately, resolving it only takes a minute.

🛠 How to Fix the "Out of Stock" Issue

Step 1: Go to Your Shopify Shipping Settings

  • Log in to your Shopify admin dashboard
  • Navigate to: Settings > Shipping and Delivery

Step 2: Edit Your Shipping Profile

  • Under Shipping profiles, click on your active profile (e.g., General shipping rates)

Step 3: Add Dropast as a Fulfillment Location

  • Scroll to the Fulfillment locations section
  • Click Add location
  • Select Dropast from the list
  • Click Add to confirm

✅ What This Does

By assigning Dropast as a fulfillment location, you ensure that products synced from Dropast are correctly recognized by Shopify as stocked and ready for sale. Without this setting, Shopify won't attribute inventory to a location, which defaults the product status to “out of stock.”
