How to check the seller rating on Taobao

Choosing the right Taobao seller will give your business the boost it needs to provide your customers with the best shopping experience possible.

To begin, we must understand that each Taobao seller's overall rating is shown using symbols of a heart, diamond, silver crown, and golden crown. The lowest possible rating is one heart, and the greatest possible rating is five golden crowns.

Keep in mind that Tmall does not display the overall seller rating system since all Tmall sellers are pre-verified, and then, follow rigorous guidelines to ensure that the service given is always as if they had Taobao gold crowns.

Now, we need to look at the dynamic seller rating, commonly known as "DSR", which displays scores related to three different categories:

1. Product description
2. Service 
3. Logistics service

A score for each category might vary from 0 to 5, and, a score of 4.8 or above is considered acceptable.

We can see arrows or equal symbols near the scores:

The "green arrow" means that the seller has less scores than others in the same niche for the category (example: Product description), whereas, the "red arrow" indicates that the seller has more.

Lastly, the "equal sign" denotes that the seller has an average rating compared to other sellers.

However, don't spend too much time thinking about these symbols.

Last but not least, look at the estimated shipment time. It is generally also displayed on Tmall, and if it isn't, it means that the estimated delivery time is 48 hours.

As a result, I recommend choosing products that will ship within 48 hours to avoid long wait times.
